1-General Terms
These conditions apply to the sale of tickets at the ticket office and the safety rules for the little trains of the Park of Versailles, drawn up by the company Proxiway, a public company with a capital of 194,900.00 Euros, with its head office at 32 boulevard Gallieni - 92130 Issy les Moulineaux, registered under the number 440 270 163 on the RCS (Trade and Companies Register) of Nanterre.
All access to and use of the little trains of Versailles is subject to these conditions being respected by the client.
The annual brochure is valid from 1January to 31 December of the current year. The summer season runs from 1April to 31 October, the winter season from 1November to31 March and the mid-season from 1to 31 March and during the school holidays not included in the summer period. Exception: on 25 December and 1January, the first departure is at 12.00.
2-Services
The Little Trains of the Park of Versailles carry up to 60 passengers for a journey with commentary between the Château, the Marie-Antoinette Domain, the Grand Trianon and the Grand Canal. Individual audioguides with multilingual commentaries are available for hire at the main desk, on payment of a deposit. The train is accessible to people with reduced mobility with the help of the driver, and can take one or two wheelchairs. Passengers with impaired hearing or sight can follow the journey thanks to the lighting strips on the little train and the announcements made. In order to allow all our clients to embark, some seats may be left vacant when the train departs.
A claim form is available from the driver, the desk and the Public Establishment of Versailles.
3-Modifications to the schedule
The timetables and durations of the tours are subject to modification at any time, for reasons of weather conditions and traffic. The Little Trains of the Park of Versailles cannot be held responsible for any roadworks, traffic jams, delays, errors, strikes, or bad weather. The little trains of the park of Versailles reserve the right to cancel or modify their route without prior warning if the comfort or safety of the passengers requires it or in the case of a strike, demonstration, force majeure or at the request of the Public Establishment of Versailles.
The Little Trains of the Park of Versailles run independently of the opening of the museums of the Château.
4-Prices
The prices on the customer notices at the ticket office are expressed in euros including all taxes, payable in this currency only. Prices are set by the Public Establishment of Versailles. Products are invoiced on the basis of the prices in force at the time the tickets are purchased at the ticket office.
Certain people are entitled to special rates according to the table below:

5-Payment– Reimbursement
5-1 Methods of payment
Payment must be made before departure. Methods of payment which are accepted at the cash desk: cash in euros; French bank cheques; bank cards from €5.8: Carte Bleue, Visa, Eurocard/Mastercard. Notes of a value greater than €200 will not be accepted.
In exchange for any payment, a ticket or receipt must be given. The ticket must be presented to a member of staff every time the passengers get onto the vehicle. Every ticket purchase at sales points must be made in the presence of the people concerned.
5-2 Online ticketing
Payment must be made online.
Advance payment confers several advantages. Payment by bank card on the website www.train-versailles.com is secure. Note: individual ticketing by Internet in no way guarantees a reservation for any particular timetable slot; this does not apply to groups and disabled people, who have the benefit of specific methods of reservation. If the train is already full when the customer arrives, he will have to take a later train, and will not be entitled to claim any reimbursement, even partial. To avoid this type of problem, customers are advised to arrive at the embarkation point approximately ten minutes before the scheduled departure time.
Personal data: the online ticketing business has been declared to the CNIL (French Data Protection Authority) (acknowledgment of receipt no.1965950). The information collected is subject to information processing for the purpose of sending tickets or ticket numbers to customers who order on the Internet. Data is sent to the sales manager of the Little Trains of the Park of Versailles. In accordance with the Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978 modified in 2004, each customer benefits from a right to access and correct the information relating to him, which he may exercise by writing to Transdev Proxiway Terrain de Folichancourt Parc du Château 78000 Versailles or by sending an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. All Internet customers must make themselves aware of the general conditions of sale and accept them before any transaction.
5-3 Validity of the ticket
The ticket is only valid on the day of purchase; it cannot be taken back, resold, reimbursed or exchanged.
A ticket can only be taken back, exchanged or reimbursed in exceptional circumstances (closure, bad weather, etc.). A request for reimbursement must be made via the online form.
6-Recommendations for passengers and Safety on board the little trains
In order to ensure safety on board the little trains of Versailles, the customer accepts that he or she will behave, while on board the little train, in a manner which is not contrary to common sense and which respects the French laws and regulations currently in force.
Every passenger must respect the following safety instructions:
- Allow passengers to alight before getting on
- do not lean out, do not put your head, arm or leg outside of the carriage
- do not throw anything out, do not open the doors during the journey
- do not stand up
- do not move suddenly from one side of the carriage to the other (risk of tipping over the carriage),
- only alight after the train has completely stopped at the point of arrival, and, in the case of an extended stop during the tour, wait for information from the driver.
- do not eat or drink (except water)
- do not smoke or consume alcohol
- do not transport flammable, explosive, corrosive or toxic substances
Adults must carefully supervise the children accompanying them:
- all children under 11must be accompanied by an adult.
- adults must ensure that children remain sitting quietly, do not move about suddenly, do not change seats, do not climb on the seats and do not hide under them, do not play with the door handles or with any equipment on board.
- Parents are strongly advised to place their children on the side opposite the door.
The Little Trains of the Park of Versailles advises each passenger to look after their belongings and not to leave anything on board:
- The Little Trains of the Park of Versailles cannot be held responsible in the case of loss or theft and cannot guarantee that objects left on board will be returned.
- Please tell the staff about any objects or bags which seem to have been abandoned.
- Do not leave your bags unattended. If, under the VIGIPIRATE system, the services of the Police became involved, you would be held responsible.
In the case of the above rules not being respected:
The Little Trains of the Park of Versailles reserve the right to deny access to the vehicle or to remove any customer who contravenes the regulations, or whose behaviour is obviously likely to pose a risk to the driver, the other passengers or a third party, without this customer having any right to reimbursement or compensation.
7- Groups
A group is considered to be at least 10 people under the charge of a guide, an accompanying person or any other designated person.
The group price is given if the reservation and purchase is made by one and the same person. Departure: The departure point will be decided jointly by the group and the Little Trains of the Park of Versailles.
Reservation: This is compulsory for all group services which include the reservation of a train, and becomes effective upon receipt of 50% of the payment of the order. The total must be settled 72 hours, by cheque or bank transfer, before the day of the service provision. An invoice will be sent once the service has been delivered.
8- Provisions relating to the private hire of the little train: Modification- Cancelation of the reservation
Any modification of the reservation must be notified to the Little trains of Versailles by letter, email or telephone. Modifications are made by the Little trains of Versailles according to availability. Customers must present themselves on the day specified and at the times mentioned on the contract of reservation. In the case of a serious delay, the customer must inform the Little trains of Versailles. No reimbursement will be made.
Any cancelation of the reservation must be notified to the Little trains of Versailles by letter, email or telephone.
Cancelation: For any cancelation of a service reserved in advance, the advance payment of 50% will be retained whatever the date of or reason for the cancelation. If the cancelation takes place less than 72 hours before the day of the service, the total amount will be retained.
9- Force majeure
The ticket holder will not be able to make any claim or request compensation in the case of force majeure or any fortuitous event outside the control of the management which is liable to disrupt the proper functioning of the little train and cause the partial or total closure to the public.
10- Interruption of the tour
Any interruption of the tour because of a wish on the part of the customer cannot give rise to a reimbursement, or even a partial reimbursement.

The Customer may also telephone the Little trains of Versailles on 01 39 54 21 47 (not a premium number) from 09.30 to 17.30 from Monday to Friday (apart from public holidays).
12- Applicable law
The law applicable is French law. In the case of litigation and in the absence of an amicable agreement with a customer of a professional standard, the jurisdiction of the town of Versailles will be referred to by the earliest petitioner.
